Stu Silverman is an editor and filmmaker with a lifelong passion for film, music and the spaces in between.
With a career spanning award-winning independent films to iconic commercial campaigns, Stu’s work includes ads for Apple’s iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch, and MacBook, along with campaigns for Hyundai, Nissan, DirecTV, ESPN, Visa, Pepsi, Playstation and ABC Mouse.
Whether telling stories through stylized techniques or traditional narrative, Stu is a sensitive editor with a strong rhythmic sensibility – a true believer in the magic that occurs when sound is married to picture.
Successful in a range of forms and genres, Stu uses mood to help drive narrative. As an intuitive artist, he distills the essence of his work with inventive, unexpected results.
Stu received his BA in Film from Emerson College, Boston. These days, he loves spending time with his family in Los Angeles, and indulging his live music obsession at venues and festivals worldwide.
